We are a well-funded, institutionally backed startup led by a team of former industry heavyweights from Cisco, Juniper Networks, Nortel, EY and Macquarie Group with two start-up exits and 4 patents under our belts.
Shabodi is building a solution that will transform the fashion in which applications are being enabled on the networks, especially a 5G network. We are in the midst of building a virtual appliance which will leverage 5G ‘s core and Radio Access Network (O-RAN etc.) to enable optimized network services for end user applications.
Key skills that the candidate should possess:
Development Skills
● Minimum of 5+ years hands on experience as DevOps engineer
● Familiarity with web-centric server-side technology like nginx, php-fpm, haproxy;
● Knowledge of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes;
● Advanced development skills with programming languages such as Python, Node.js, Bash, Java, C, C++
● Expert knowledge in CI/CD automation and configuration management using tools such as Harness, Jenkins, Sonarqube, Bitbucket, Bamboo;
● Knowledge of and experience with systems administration, typically Docker; Unix / Linux; networking protocols; database administration; task running;
● Excellent organization and communication skills;
● Knowledge of configuration management systems such as Chef, Puppet and Ansible;
● Strong server-management skills, including a high level of comfort on the command line;
● Five or more years of progressively complex related experience;
● Knowledge and experience with running distributed systems in public cloud environments such as GCP, AWS and Azure.
● Self-starter who can work independently.
● Strong communication skills.
Domain Skills
● Experience with telecom domain and knowledge of 5G is an asset
Roles and responsibilities
● Setup, automate and continually improve CI / CD infrastructure
● Create an automation roadmap and execute in agile manner
● Setup light-weight but effective and automated gating process to ensure high quality deployments
● Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure up to date status reporting
● Document key decisions, raise risks and get clarifications to resolve amicably
● Research new technologies and design choices and influence architecture decisions by making contribution in all stages of development
● Analyse gaps in processes, tools and technologies hindering product development cadence and suggest improvements with execution plan
